Review Friday: Let there be light

I wish I could apply formatting to the title of this post. I’d called it

“Review Friday Sunday”

Yup, I missed another review Friday, once again it’s Sunday.

Anyway, on to the review. Glow Sticks.

These are not just any glow sticks, these are cheap glow sticks. 30 for 99p. From the 99p shop, oddly enough.

I bought them to find out what they were like, at 3p each you can’t go wrong, right?

Well I’ve actually been delighted with them. In the tube there are 30 glow sticks and a bag of connectors so you can join them together to make stuff. There are four five colours; purple, red, green, blue and yellow. The blue and yellow ones are the brightest, but you don’t get so many of them. The green are pretty bright to, but that might be because the human eye sees green best.

They need to be broken along the entire length for best effect, and last around 24 hours. Not bad for 3p!

A red and green glowstick, unbroken.

My bad it was a purple, not red!

Pros

  • Glow sticks!
  • Cheap
  • Last a long time

Cons

  • I can’t find any more.
  • Too small to give off any usable light

So there you have it. Cheap glow sticks available in the 99p store in Kingston, if you can find them.

Have a good week,

Jason
