Contact!
I recently watched a film called Contact, from 1997. It’s to do with the SETI project actually finding a signal and the human race building some kind of wormhole generator. Anyway, that day I came up with a couple of really short poem things that were sort of related to the film. Lacking anything else to post today, here they are:
We send our rockets into space;
carrying a message from the human race;
we scan the skies for big brother;
but right now we have each other
We take our first steps to the stars;
first on luna; then on mars;
flying outwards from our home;
what a shame if we are all alone

I don’t know why, I just feel the last line “but right now we have each other” flows better if you make it “but right now we only have each other”. Same feeling with “what a shame if we are all alone” maybe as “what a shame if we were all alone”. Otherwise it’s really good, as I told you when you told me on MSN.
